Welcome to our site!
Oft times, we're asked the "infamous" question..."as a club, do you do any FUN things...it seems that work,work,work and donate, donate, donate is the general theme behind these kind of clubs"...
...well, we know that. The Board and Officers of The United Irish of SW Florida have been doing this for quite some time! Below, there's a recap of our events for this year...throw in our unofficial stuff like every Thursday night is PUB NITE with Harry Boyle, we've gone to Savannah for St Patricks Day, participated in the Christmas Boat Parade, enjoyed local events together such as the Celtic Women Concert, The Dublin City Ramblers, RiverDance, etc...it's fair to say that WE ARE A VERY ACTIVE-FUN-SOCIAL CLUB.
Each officer and Board member IS EXPECTED to take ownership of a few EVENTS, and from there our army of volunteers pitch in. Not only do we believe that many people helping-out-a-little allows everyone to enjoy all events...we also believe that a friendly happy-go-lucky group makes helping out a part of the enjoyment!
With that said, it's only fair to mention the fact that we are also a VERY-GIVING-CLUB financially and charity-wise. Our involvment with the local food bank, a local elementary school, a local student going to summer camp in Tallahassee, sponsorship at the Centennial Park Celtic Fest, and our planned March Festivities for the community to enjoy hilights our local stewardship.

17 St Patricks Day Celebration...hop on the "celebration" bus (for some reason "PARTY BUS" has become politically incorrect in some circles)... (but not MY circle)...and march with us...together...as a club...doing what we do best....SHOWING OUR IRISH PRIDE. Still working out details...but this will be a full day of GREAT FUN!!
